When you initiate the order process, your shopping cart info is transferred to a special web server which uses the SSL security protocol. The secure server icon will appear in the corner of your browser verifying security (Netscape: closed padlock). Any communication between your browser and the secure server, as you input your order, is encrypted on-the-fly, so that if the transmission is intercepted it cannot be read.
