Seeo is an early stage battery start-up based in Berkeley, CA. With a team of world-class scientists and engineers, and funding from one of silicon valley's top venture firms, Seeo is moving full speed toward revolutionizing electricity storage and delivery. We are currently looking for scientists, engineers, and management-level battery experts to play a critical role in moving our R&D efforts forward. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in at the ground level and help shape an exciting new start-up!
Definition of Role:
The Battery Development Group will serve as an integral part of Seeo's R&D team, focusing on battery design and fabrication, as well as electrochemical characterization and analysis to support the development effort.
Primary Responsibilities:
Selection and implementation of materials and processes for prototype and pilot-scale battery development, including state-of-the-art electrode fabrication and integration, and cell fabrication and packaging.
Detailed analysis of cell design and cell operation
Design, implementation, and analysis of electrochemical characterization aimed at quantitatively assessing battery performance and identifying degradation and failure mechanisms.
Significant contribution to commercial product development
Requirements:
Advanced degree preferred, significant technological/scientific expertise in battery systems required
Direct experience developing lithium-based primary or secondary batteries
A genuine passion for technology innovation and energy storage
