Selective Mount Shielding Gasket

Omega’s 98-934 electrical contact and EMI shielding gaskets (shown on page 1) are designed for sliding and slot-mount applications that require extremely low compression force and have a selective/limited mounting area.

This low profile, 2.0mm part is meant for minimal gap applications and is manufactured from Omega’s unique low-force gradient copper alloy. It is available with grips on every other, every third or every fifth gasket finger for a near-custom installation.

This gasket provides a reduced spring force of nearly 25% compared to the company’s standard 99-series product. The symmetrical design also allows bidirectional contact engagement for superior electrical contact and RF attenuation and generates no friction drag during compressions.

Lightweight Signal Generator Model SG1200

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has introduced a lightweight 2U, 3.5-inch high signal generator with a bandwidth of 9kHz to 1.2GHz and an RF output range from -140dBm to +13dBm. The Model SG1200 provides the lowest available carrier frequency with excellent resolution and low harmonics.

The SG1200 is ideally suited for RF immunity testing for both conducted and radiated immunity systems covering the requirements for MIL-STD-461D/E, DO-160D/E, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-6 and many other EMC test standards.

The SG1200 signal generator features both internal and external AM, FM, phase, and external pulse modulations and provides the capability of combining internal and external modulations. It offers a rugged design, providing electronic trip protection to protect the generator’s output against reverse power up to 50W. The SG1200 has a front panel control as well as remote communications using either GPIB or RS-232. All connections are provided on the rear panel for easy installation into rack-mounted systems. It comes with a comprehensive modulation capability and is covered by a 3-year warranty. The SG1200 is an ideal instrument for stand-alone test bench testing or as part of an AR system.

Military-Standard Electronic Filters

A range of EMI/RFI filters, developed and manufactured by EMC Solutions Ltd. of the U.K., meets the highest international military and defense standards and also the European requirements for RF and EMC.

The MDC range of military standard EMI/RFI filters offers high attenuation on both common and differential modes, especially at low frequencies, and can handle the high-power pulses found at high frequencies.
