FKI Logistex Funded
FKI Logistex® has been awarded a contract with the Army
& Air Force Exchange Service to upgrade the material handling
system at the companys Dan Daniel distribution center
near Newport News, Virginia.
Under the new contract, FKI Logistex will revamp the existing
system at the facility, originally installed in 1995. The
project will include a state-of-the-art cross-docking system
with eight incoming and 68 outgoing lanes, a UniSort®
XV high-speed shipping sorter, two vhswEDGE multi-lane
high-speed merges, and 33,000 feet of photo-eye Accuglide

addition of five-sided bar code scanning for redundancy.
FKI Logistex is proud to be given another opportunity
to work with AAFES in support of our troops, says John
Westendorf, president, FKI Logistex Warehouse and Distribution,
North America.
