42nd Power Sources Conference June 12-15, 2006 About 700 attendees and 48 exhibiting companies came to Philadelphia in June for the biennial Power Sources Conference sponsored by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and other divisions of the military and the government interested in batteries, fuel cells and storage technology. Originally held at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, the conference was moved to Cherry Hill for several years and then across the river to Philadelphia in 2004. This year’s venue, the Wyndham Philadelphia Hotel, changed to the Sheraton Philadelphia Hotel five weeks before the conference. But organizers Ralph Nadell and Danielle Rocco of Palisades Convention Management took it in stride and had things moving smoothly as always. The quality of the papers, posters and presenters was outstanding, according to audience reviews, and added to the upbeat mood of everyone attending. Let’s come again in 2008.
