HOB Enters Distribution Agreement with Panasonic
House of Batteries (HOB) has entered into a distribution
agreement with Panasonic Batteries of North America.
The firm, the largest woman-owned battery assembler
in the U.S., has hired an additional electrical
engineer to design and test Panasonic custom assemblies.
Earlier this year, the company expanded to a new
36,000 square feet manufacturing and distribution
facility in Fountain Valley, California, hired
a new quality assurance manager, and announced
ISO9001:2000 quality certification
The company manufactures 250,000 custom battery
assemblies per month and has battery assembly
operations in Southern California, Mexico and
China. Products range from batteries for portable
electronics to standby UPS batteries.
This is going to be a powerful partnership
in the battery industry, both in California and
nationally, said HOB President Don West.
