EaglePicher Opens New Headquarters
EaglePicher Inc. has opened its new corporate
headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The facility
also serves as the headquarters of EaglePicher
Technologies LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of
EaglePicher Inc.
The 100,000 square-foot building offers employee
office space and amenities and enhanced service
and technology to customers. Also housed there
is the Defense and Space Power division of EaglePicher
Technologies with a supplemental manufacturing
operation for thermal batteries.
A grand opening gala on November 9 featured a
keynote address by Gen. Hugh Shelton, 14th chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who praised the
company for “providing the majority of power
solutions for all U.S. government guided munitions.”
EaglePicher also has announced a support program
for Arizona math and science teachers who achieve
National Board certification. The company will
award $1,500 to selected teachers who successfully
complete the prestigious certification program,
reimbursing them for fees not covered by a state
Department of Education subsidy program and including
an additional $200 bonus.
